Port Vale Football Club are proud to announce a new marketing partnership alongside the Creative Innovation Centre.
CIC will work with the Vale to improve on the marketing of the club and their first major project will be the new kit launch for the 2018/19 season.
Chris Turner, our Commercial and Marketing Manager, says he is delighted with the new partnership.
"When I arrived at the club in December, one of my major tasks was to improve the marketing of the football club. There is and has been a large negativity surrounding the club for obvious reasons.
"I'm without doubt off the field it has been hard to refocus businesses and some supporters. The improvement of the team performances in the winter period and with the near certainty of retaining our EFL status, is all down to the hard work of Neil Aspin and his staff.
"Going forward into the new season, I believe it's massively important that we relaunch our marketing strategy and start to regain the confidence of local businesses and most importantly our fan base.
"I searched for a company to help us achieve this, and I'm delighted that on the doorstep of our football club in Burslem, I found the Creative Innovation Centre via the Creative Director, David Walker. David has given total confidence that the partnership with CIC will be a great success for Port Vale Football Club.
"I also believe that it's very important that we as a football club get involved with local businesses, and it feels even more special when that business has such a large Port Vale fan base within it.
"I would like to thank Norman Smurthwaite and Colin Garlick who have fully backed this project."
Creative Director, David Walker has been working closely alongside Chris and our Media Manager, Max McLellan over the past for weeks in the build up to the kit launch.
David, who has previously worked with the club but on smaller projects, can't emphasise enough how excited the CIC team are to be working on the new kit launch and future projects for Port Vale.
"We’re delighted to have this partnership in place. We have a number of Port Vale supporters in the studio and to be contributing to something they care so much about, not only has their creative juices flowing but should also ensure the highest quality of work produced.
"There is currently a lot of negative noise around the club and moving into next season we’re hoping to inject some positivity. Giving the fans a launch they can be proud of.
"Moving forward the aim is to build a positive and consistent image for the club, a set of brand guidelines and hopefully an image that competes with clubs on a bigger stage. We will be developing great social content, pushing the clubs’ great hospitality facilities and most importantly cheering the team on from the terraces.
"I can’t sing Chris’ praises enough. It is so refreshing to work with someone who not only gives you the creative freedom you desire but also cares so much about his product. Chris’ knowledge of the game and his passion to get things right make working together effortless.
"Max’s support has been invaluable. I have been speaking to him on a daily basis ensuring we have all of the right assets in place and again, it is his desire for the only highest standards that fills me with the confidence that we’ll not only be producing a great body of work but also something above and beyond Port Vale have been used to."
