Elsewhere in the FA Trophy, Joe Slinn kept a clean sheet in Stalybridge Celtic’s 0-0 draw to Prescot Cables as they go to a replay.
Bradford Park Avenue also lost a 1-0 lead to Salford City as they went back to Manchester with a 2-1 win. Graham Kelly impressed heavily for the National League North side as he played 90 minutes at left-back.
Charlie Walford’s Romulus held Gresley to a 2-2 draw in the league as the points were shared.
Finally, Luke Dennis' Newcastle Town went ahead against the visiting Kidsgrove Athletic, to lose the lead and go behind in three action packed minutes, to then rescue a point with 10 minutes left on the clock.
