Following the draw away at Newport County, Vale are back on home soil this weekend as Barnet make the trip to Burslem on Saturday afternoon for a Sky Bet League Two clash.
The two sides last faced each other during February of 2012, with the Valiants sitting top of the fourth tier and Barnet languishing down towards the foot of the table.
Underhill didn’t play host to a thriller though, the game ending 0-0. The hosts did have the better of the first half, but they found Vale ‘keeper Chris Neal in inspired form.
Vale almost snatched a winner during the second half, only for Tom Pope to be denied by the post after he sent a powerful header towards goal.
Barnet did then find the back of the net late on, but it was ruled out as John Oster’s corner had already gone out of play.
The draw kept Vale at the top of the division, while the point ensured Barnet crept out of the relegation places.
