Port Vale are offering youngsters the chance to play football while gaining their educational qualifications.
Vale's Football and Education Academy offers students the chance to play regularly while studying any course at Stoke-on-Trent College from BTEC Sport to A levels.
The offer, which is open to 16-18 year olds, will allow participants to train three or four times a week with Vale staff during the day to fit around their education course.
They will also compete on a Wednesday afternoon for the Port Vale Foundation in the National under-19s Youth League. That leads to the chance to represent England in the English Colleges team.
Participants will also have opportunities to complete work placement hours and gain work experience at the football club.
All students will receive full training kit and match day tracksuit plus tickets to every Port Vale home game
The new programme will run alongside two courses already being run by the Port Vale Foundation; The Ladies Academy and the Futsal Academy.
An open evening for all three programmes is being held on Monday November 27 (6.30pm) at Vale Park. There is then a trials evening on Friday December 8 (Ladies 4.30pm – 6pm, Men’s 7 – 8.30pm).
