Chief Executive, Colin Garlick, addresses the Early Bird Season Ticket deadline.
Firstly I feel it important to acknowledge the supporters who have already purchased a Season Ticket to date. Please accept our sincere thanks, we really do appreciate your support and commitment.
As you are aware, the decision was taken two weeks ago to reduce the cost of the season tickets, offering a further discount to the existing early purchase scheme and increasing the free admission age for children from age 9 to under 12. We thank you for your positive response to this move but we also recognise, from the feedback received since announcing the discount, for a number of supporters two weeks has not been a long enough time to purchase a season ticket at the newly discounted rate.
We have had discussions with the Supporters Club and in order to give as many fans as possible the opportunity to join us in the 2017/18 season, the decision has been taken to extend the discounted price period to the end of June 2017. This brings the early purchase price in line with the seat reservation deadline.
We understand that there will be some supporters who will be delighted with this move as it gives more time to purchase at the discounted rate but at the same time we fully appreciate and acknowledge those people who have already rushed to secure their seat within the original May deadline. Again I reiterate to those supporters that we are sincerely grateful to you, we need your commitment and we very much look forward to welcoming you to the ground in the new season.
I would like to acknowledge that we fully appreciate that player recruitment is incredibly important so please be assured that this process is ongoing but can quite often take a bit of time. Michael and his staff are working very hard to bring in new players and the signing of Tom Pope demonstrates our commitment towards next season.
We hope that you will decide to come on board and take advantage of the extended discounted price period. Not only do we need our supporters to back us from a financial perspective but come summer 2017 we want you here in the stands with us.
Finally I would like to just reference the pending shirt launch. I understand that there are fans waiting to see and indeed to actually buy the shirts; naturally we want this too. The current situation is that they are in the final stages of the manufacturing process and as soon as we have details of a definitive delivery date, we will of course let you know. We are working towards a pre-Father’s day official shirt launch but further details will be released as soon as we are in a position to do so.
Many thanks for your continued commitment and support.
