We are extremely sad to announce the passing of a very important and well respected member of the Port Vale family. Liz Williams, former Secretary and Treasurer of Port Vale Supporters’ Club, passed away over the weekend, following a short illness.
Liz and husband Pete (former Supporters' Club Chairman) were instrumental in overturning the previous board. They fought tirelessly to expose the ‘nil paid shares’ fraud and then campaigned to raise funds to keep the club afloat.
At the same time, they were organising to complete the Sproson statue, which is proudly in place today. Liz was a lifelong Port Vale fan, wife, mother and grandmother. All at Port vale FC offer sincere condolences to Liz's family and friends. Liz will never be forgotten.
