We are delighted to announce the signing of Tyrone Barnett from AFC Wimbledon on a two year-deal.
The experienced striker has completed his move from Kingsmeadow to ValePark ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
With over 450 career appearances, the 31 year-old joins Vale with a vast amount of experience under his belt, as well as a knack of scoring goals.

Barnett then struggled to find is feet in English football until he was offered the chance to play at League Two level with Macclesfield Town, after a fruitful spell at Hednesford Town in which he scored 40 times in 81 appearances, and winning the Birmingham Senior Cup in the 2008-09 season.
After only a year at Moss Rose scoring 13 in 45, Barnett moved to League Two newcomers CrawleyTown and went on to score Crawley’s first ever football league goal and finished the season on 14 in 33.
The striker then spent an emergency loan spell out at Peterborough United, as he rose to the Championship. The summer transfer window following saw him sign permanently at London Road breaching the million-pound transfer mark.
However, in November of the 2012-13 season Barnett was transfer listed and completed a loan move to IpswichTown. After this, he struggled to get back into the Peterborough side prompting further loan spells to BristolCity and Oxford United, until he signed permanently for ShrewsburyTown in 2015.
Barnett scored on his debut for the Shrews extending their unbeaten home run. He ended the season with 4 goals in 18 appearances and scored a further 6 in his 45 appearances. He fell out of favour after the Shrews earned promotion to League One which paved the way for a loan move to division rivals Southend United.
Barnett’s time at Roots Hall ended in a mid-table finish for the Shrimpers with Barnett scoring 5 times in 20 appearances.
Following his loan spell at Roots Hall, Barnett saw his future away from the Shrews and terminated his contract with them, which cleared the path for a move to Kingsmeadow as he signed for AFC Wimbledon for the 2016/17 season.
His time at Kingsmeadow saw him score 5 times in 44 appearances in AFC Wimbledon’s first ever season in League One, guiding them to a 15th placed finish.
