Jak Alnwick Joins Rangers

We can confirm that Goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has joined Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

Jak has agreed a three and a half year deal with the Scottish Premiership side, taking him to 2020.

Alnwick has made 67 appearances for Vale since he joined back in August of 2015.

The 'keeper has played in 31 games this season and has kept 10 clean sheets.

Jak was part of the Vale side who became the last club to concede a goal in the EFL this season, having gone over 320 minutes of the opening of the season without conceding.

He was labelled the best Goalkeeper in League One by former manager Bruno Ribeiro earlier this season, who also named him as one of his captains when he took over.

The 6'2 stopper began his career with Sunderland, before moving to Newcastle United.

He then was loaned to Bradford City and then made a permanent move to Vale Park, where he battled with Chirs Neal for the number one jersey.

Jak has continuously been named in the EFL and Football League Paper Team of the Week throughout the season, reaping the rewards for his performances.

We wish Jak all the best with Rangers and thank him for his time with Port Vale.
