It was a great Bank Holiday weekend for defender Adam Yates and Macclesfield, as they secured back to back wins.
The fullback featured the full 90 minutes in both matches against Chester away from home and Dover Athletic at Moss Rose.
The Silkmen beat Dover 1-0 and then Chester 2-0 in the Cheshire Derby, meaning clean sheets for Yatesy and more minutes under his belt.
Elsewhere, Luke Dennis got off to a double winning start for Newcastle Town this past weekend against Kidsgrove Athletic and Spalding United.
Castle beat Spalding 6-1 in Luke’s debut for the club and then this past Monday, Town secured a 3-2 win against Kidsgrove.
Finally, it was a disappointing week of results for Joe Slinn and Stalybridge Celtic as they secured a week of defeats.
Celtic lost 1-0 to both Shaw Lane and Lancaster City.
