This weekend, Vale are on the road again as they travel to London Road to take on Peterborough United in the Sky Bet League One.
The last time the Valiants travelled to the Posh, they came from two behind to win 3-2, with Louis Dodds scoring in the last minute to earn all three points.
One man who was part of the first team that day was Sam Foley, who before the clash against Bury was leading the assist table in the League.
The midfielder has been a key player for Vale so far this season and he believe him and his team-mates are still in a good position despite last week’s defeat and is confident they can pick up some points this weekend.
He said: “I think we need to bounce back with a positive result and we need to get back to basics like we have done this week in training and prepare for the game.
“They’ve got a young side and they have a lot of energy and look to play football and I think it might suit us there, because will be a lot of space on the pitch and were looking forward to it.
“We’ve put ourselves in a great position which has put us up there.
“We had a decent little run which put us up there and we’re still in a good position and it’s a massive positive to be there and if we go on a run it will hopefully propel us for the rest of the season.”
