Michael Brown - "It's Great To Be Back"

This week, Vale Reserves travelled to the Birmingham County FA Headquarters to face Walsall Reserves.

The game was a chance for several first team players, who haven’t played many minutes this season to get some important game time under their belt.

Vale came away 2-0 winners under the watching eyes of the management team, with goals coming from Rigino Cicilia and Dan Turner.

The game was an important clash for Assistant Manager, Michael Brown as he made his comeback from injury.

Brown played the second 45 minutes as he stepped up his recovery, which has ruled him out following the game against Nottingham Forest.

Michael spoke to Valiant PlayerHD after the final whistle and told how it felt to be able to be in a position to take part in the game.

He said: “It’s great to be back, taking part in the warm up, getting the feeling with the boots on again rather than taking the actual game, I knew I was going to play some part.

“Watching the first-half, I was trying to warm-up and stretch my legs which was strange, the ball went out of play for an injury so I managed to run down the line and get a quick warm up in before the second half.

“It was a good shift by the boys, it was a good workout all round for everyone and it was good to get the win.”
