It was another good weekend for youngster Dan Turner, as he grabbed himself another two goals for Kidsgrove Athletic this past weekend.
Unfortunately, Turner couldn’t help Grove fall to a 4-3 defeat, despite being 3-0 down and getting back to 3-3.
Elsewhere, it was a busy couple of days for James Gibbons, as he played in two games in the space of three days.
Leek Town won on the weekend 3-2 against Chasetown, but fell to defeat last night against Basford 4-2, with Gibbons playing 90 minutes in both.
To the National League and Ryan Lloyd and Chester were in action in the Anglo Welsh derby against Wrexham, but neither side could break the deadlock.
Also, Gateshead suffered a 3-0 defeat to Aldershot Town away from home, but Sam Johnson was an unused substitute in the game.
To another ‘keeper now and Ryan Boot couldn’t prevent Worcester City losing 3-2 at home to Nuneaton Town.
In League One, JJ Hooper came on with eight minutes to go in Northampton Town’s 4-0 win against Southend.
And finally, Billy Reeves also came off the bench in Witton Albion’s defeat against Carlton in Non-League action.
