This weekend, Port Vale travel to Bristol Rovers, looking to pick up the first three points on the road this season.
The Valiants have recorded two draws and two defeats away from home and having risen back into the play-offs, they will be looking to continue to put pressure on those teams above them.
Defender, Ben Purkiss wants the side to try and build on the results against Gillingham and Peterborough and try to pick up their first win away from home at Bristol Rovers.
He said: “I think we want to build on last week’s result and the draw we picked up at Peterborough.
“We know we have started exceptionally well at home and we need to take this form and the performances to games away from home and try to pick up some points.”
The defender also feels that if the side could mimic their home form in away matches, they should have a chance to challenge at the top of the league.
“If we can keep the home form and pick up points and wins away from home then we will be right up there.
“I didn’t realise we hadn’t won on the road until you said.”
