Port Vale earned their first win on the road this season with a 1-0 win at MK Dons, who subsequently, still haven’t managed a win at home this season.
Alex Jones’ penalty rebound was enough to separate the two teams as the Valiant’s regained their places amongst the play-off places.
Sam Hart kept his place in the starting 11, but has been playing in a more advanced role.
Hart spoke exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD after the game about playing out of position.
“The gaffer has give me a lot of information on what to do, where to play where to be and I am enjoying playing.
“I came here to play and he has trusted me on the wing and I hope I can repay him. I’m happy”, he added.
With the win, Vale reclaimed their place amongst the play-off places, something that has the dressing room buzzing: “Everyone in the dressing room has got so much confidence at the moment. We are fourth in the league and it is, great we need to keep pushing on.”
Looking ahead to next week’s game away at Sheffield United, Hart feels that Vale have every chance to come away with a result: ”It is all confidence. To come to MK Dons, to a stadium like this is always going to be tough and we just need to take it into next week now.”
