Ryan Taylor Talks Joining Vale

Last week, Port Vale completed the signing of experienced defender, Ryan Taylor on a short-term deal.

Taylor signed on the Friday and made his debut for the club on Saturday in the 2-2 draw with Oxford United at Vale Park.

It was an eventful for debut for Taylor as he assisted for the first goal and scored from the spot to get Vale level.

Despite being a free agent, Ryan has been keeping himself fit, training with Wigan Athletic and Preston North End over the last few months.

However, it has come to a stage where Taylor is in need of first team football and that is what he has come to Vale for.

He said: “I’m really pleased, I came here to help the team and help myself so obviously playing 80 minutes so early for me is good because I haven’t played for a while.

“I’ve been training a lot, I’ve been training with Preston North End for the past 5 to 6 weeks and they’ve kept me in great shape and I’m grateful for them.

“To play games is what I need and what I want and I wanted to play straight away and the more I play the fitter I’ll get and the more comfortable ill get.”
