Staffordshire University are celebrating the launch of their new campus.
They are inviting you to join in with their celebrations and you can get involved from the 12th – 16th of October, using the hashtag #AllStokedUp.
The launch will take place on the 12th of October With special guest opener Sara Cox, BBC Radio 2 broadcaster and presenter of The Great Pottery Throw Down. There will also be new facility tours, film screenings, fairgrounds rides, live music, silent disco, light show, street food, graffiti artist and it will get underway from 4pm.
Saturday the 15th of October from 10:30am will see a day of hands-on activity for all the family, starring Titan the Robot, Big Biology Day – Science Centre, Leek Road, Digital Day – Mellor Building, College Road and Operation Spitfire – Flaxman foyer and Film Theatre, College Road.
The Big Biology Day will be a mini Science Festival with Biology at its heart. They will have activities and stands for all ages. These will include guided walks around the Nature Reserve, forensic biology ‘hands-on’ stands, small mammals, bugs and bees and so much more.
Finally on the 16th of October, you can take a tour of campus facilities and accommodation, talk to students about life at Staffordshire University and find out more about their work experience offer.
