Tom Pope To Don Vale Colours In Legends Game

Tom Pope will don Port Vale colours again as he represents the Club in this weekend’s Legends Game against Stoke City.

The striker will line up alongside match’s organiser Tony Naylor on Sunday as the two sides renew their long-standing, cross-city rivalry.

Pope, who currently plays for fellow League One outfit Bury, spent four years at Vale Park between 2011 and 2015.

He scored 33 goals as the Club earned promotion from League Two in 2013 and he maintained an impressive strike-rate of one-in-three throughout his time in Burslem.

The final two players that have been announced for the Legends Game are as follows…

Jonathan Wilkes – Comedian and entertainer from Stoke-on-Trent and lifelong Vale fan. Wilkes has appeared in a number of TV shows and theatre productions and is regularly involved in the annual Soccer Aid match.

Paddy McGuinness – No likey, no lighty! That’s right, Take Me Out presenter and star of hit TV sitcoms Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere, Paddy McGuinness will be at Vale Park on Sunday for the Legends Game.

Remember, you can pick up tickets for the game from our official ticket office, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
