Dodds: ‘That’s What You Play Football For’

Port Vale forward Louis Dodds described the feeling after his last minute winner against Peterborough United as ‘pure delight’.

The 29-year-old scored to cap off an incredible turn around at London Road where the Valiants had been 2-0 down at half time.

Byron Moore got the comeback started and JJ Hooper bagged an 86th minute equaliser before Dodds fired the deciding goal with seconds remaining.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD after the game, Dodds discussed how it felt to net the winner: “I think if you see the celebration I think it says it all.

“When you score with your left foot as well and you score in the last minute in front of your away fans to make it 3-2, it’s pure delight.

“That’s what you play football for and we’re absolutely buzzing to go back with three points.”
