Saturday 23rd January 2016
Vale were forced to settle for a single point from the game as visitors Bradford City came from behind, despite being reduced to ten men early on in the second half. Vale had taken an early lead when Ajay Leitch-Smith fired them ahead in under two minutes when he netted his eighth goal of the season and although they were unable to add to that, there was room for optimism as they took a slender lead in with them at the interval. When Bradford’s Lee Evans was given his marching orders just three minutes into the second half things were looking even better, but the visitors earned themselves a point when Jamie Proctor climbed high to send in a powerful header for the equaliser.
