Bruno - Pre Wolves

Take a look at what the manager had to say heading into the clash this weekend.

Tomorrow afternoon, Bruno Ribeiro and his side return to action at Vale Park, as they entertain Championship side, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This will be the fourth game of the busy pre-season schedule this weekend, as the players prepare to get ready for the 6th of August.

Wolves will pose another challenge for Vale and it is one that Ribeiro is looking forward to, as he looks for improvement from the Forest clash.

He said: “Wolves will be another hard game again; hopefully we can improve against another Championship club.

”We need to improve and score some goals and not concede any. We will go and watch the goals from Forest and make sure it doesn’t happen again in the next game and we are better and try to win.

“We want to win every game, its not important at the moment, but I still want to win, I don’t like losing, but its good for the start of the season and I’m still happy.”

One noticeable absence from the game against Forest was Kiko, who had featured in every game up until then and Ribeiro gave an update on his fitness:

“Kiko had some problem with his tendon Achilles, but nothing important, when I have some players with pain I want to leave them and wait for a few days, like we did with Sam Foley and Ben Purkiss, I want all players at 100%.”
