The 22-year-old becomes Bruno Ribeiro’s eleventh signing since taking over as manager of Port Vale after the manager enthused about his performance on Saturday.

Born in Liverpool, Forrester started off his career in the Everton Academy and moved to Ewood Park in 2013 following atrial spell with the club.

He has since had loan spells with Bury and Morecambe, but suffered from a knee injury back in March which ruled him out for the remainder of the season, before being released by his parent club Blackburn.
