Page Proud Of Record-Setting Home Form

Port Vale’s draw with Coventry City ensured they're now on their longest unbeaten home run in the league for 22 years and Rob Page said he was extremely proud of his players for that achievement.

Substitute Sam Kelly scored a spectacular equaliser for the Valiants, who came from behind at Vale Park following Jacob Murphy’s first half opener.

The result means Vale have now gone eleven straight home games in Sky Bet League One without defeat and the manager was quick to praise his side.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD after the match, he said: “I’m extremely proud of the players to do that.

“To be part of this football club is fantastic and now to be part of the history for the supporters and breaking records, I’m proud of the players that have done that.

“They’ve given that level of performance week-in, week-out at home and to have only lost one going into the second week of February is a great achievement for them.”
