Sam Kelly’s solo strike against Bury has been selected by you, the fans, as Port Vale’s nomination for Mitre’s Goal of the Year award 2015.
We asked the supporters to send in their votes for which goal they thought was our best over the course of the calendar year.
Kelly’s effort against the Shakers at Vale Park won the poll and will now be entered in the Goal of the Year category at the Football League Awards 2016.
A judging panel will now review the goals with a selection being shown on Channel 5’s Football League Tonight Show.
Fans will be given the opportunity to vote for goals to make the final shortlist of five, with the overall winner being decided at the glittering Awards ceremony at Manchester Central on 17th April 2016.
