During half-term boys aged 9-12 have been taking part in a range of activities based at the Vale Park and Dimensions organised by Academy coach Lee Foyle.
As well as taking part in a number of training schedules and games, over 30 boys participated in an education workshop which involved finding out about the history of the pottery industry in Burslem, the links with the football club and new developments raising the profile of local companies.
All boys were able to paint pieces linked to football, which included boots and mugs - provided by Staffordshire Creamware which is based at the Old Post Office.
These will be glazed and returned to the boys in the next two weeks.
They also met Paul Bodin, Anthony Grant, Carl Dickenson, Sam Foley, Sam Kelly and Louis Dodds who were able to tell them about their experiences in academies and schools of excellence and the importance of working hard at school and in their football development.
