The Shrimpers beat table toppers Burton Albion earlier this week but Dickinson is confident Vale have what it takes to get three points.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the skipper discussed what it will take to win the match.
“We’ve got to create more chances,” he began. “We’ve got to give it a right good go.
“I think everyone saw on Monday night them beat the league leaders and we know it’s going to be a tough game but we want to put things right from Saturday.
“It’s another chance for us at home, where we’ve been really good, to stamp our authority on the game and come away with a good result.”
