Bruno Ribeiro Reflects On Hartlepool Win

Vale booked their place in the Third Round of the FA Cup this past weekend as they breezed past Hartlepool United.

The Valiants made a fantastic start to the game and were 3-0 up within the first 30 minutes.

It was a dominant display from start to finish and was a fantastic performance from Vale to be in the hat for the draw.

However, Bruno Ribeiro wanted his side to keep up their momentum from the first 30 minutes and was disappointed with the second half.

He said: “I’m very happy because we win the game. I think the first 30 minutes we were very good.

“We spoke before the game and said to press with good movement, but after 30 minutes some of the players attitude went down and we need to play like this for 90 minutes not for 30 minutes.

“I said at half time we need to play the same and try to score four, five or six as this is more important for us.”

The draw for the next round is on the lips of all Vale fans, as they wait in anticipation to see who they will face.

With all the Premier League and Championship clubs coming into this round, there is one side who Bruno seems to fancy.

He added: “I want a Premier League club, I want my team to play against a big team to improve.

“A big team here at Port Vale would be good, because I want the stadium full.

“I want Manchester United because my friend is there and maybe we could win we never know.”
