Take a look at the thoughts of the manager on his side and their condition at the moment.
As the dust settles on the weekend’s result against Swindon, attentions begin to turn the next game against Scunthorpe.
Unfortunately, Vale won’t be taking part in the EFL Cup Second Round, which leaves them with no midweek game.
This is the first time since the start of the season, Bruno Ribeiro and his side will be able to have a full weeks preparation.
Although the break comes under disappointing circumstances, it gives the players who are carrying knocks time to rest ahead of this weekend.
Bruno spoke of his delight with his players at the moment, as well as giving fitness updates on his squad.
He said: “I’m still very happy with player’s, they’re doing a fantastic job and we’re improving our football playing from the left to right, putting in crosses, we just need to put the ball in the net more.
“Rigino Cicilia and Kjell Knops are 60% fit and Jerome Thomas has pain so that’s why he didn’t play.
“All the players here want to play and that’s good for me and now we have a week to prepare and we can see how the player’s are and they can have a few days rest and against Scunthorpe everyone should be fit.”
