O’Connor Aims For Three Wins From Three

Port Vale midfielder Michael O’Connor says the aim is to take nine points from the remaining three games of the season.

The Valiants have just Rochdale, Scunthorpe United and Walsall left to play as the campaign draws to a close.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, O’Connor insisted the players are determined to get a maximum return on the matches that are left.

“I think the three teams we’ve got to play all have something to play for,” he began.

“Scunthorpe have an outside chance of the play-offs, they’ve picked up under the new manager.

“But we just want to show that we want to finish up as high as possible and get as many points on the board.

“Usually 70 or 71 points gets you in the play-offs but it’s so competitive up there. If we can get nine points, which is possible, we’ll give it a go.”
