Port Vale Football Club can confirm winger Matty Kennedy has been recalled by Cardiff City.
The 21-year-old will now return to South Wales and join up with Russell Slade’s side.
Kennedy initially signed for the Valiants on loan in January and impressed with his early performances.
That prompted the Club to secure his services for a further two months as he extended his deal until 26th April.
But recently game time has been more difficult to come by for the Scot, who has been a regular on the substitutes’ bench the last few weeks.
Speaking to port-vale.co.uk, manager Rob Page said: “I think Matty came in and did really well at the start.
“I threw him in at the deep end at Doncaster Rovers away and I think he was excellent. He set up Ajay’s goal and had a chance for himself.
“Then he played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday and inevitably it was going to catch up with him and that’s what happened.
“To go from under-21s football to playing like that week-in, week-out, two games a week at League One level caught up with him.
“His form dipped a little bit and Cardiff have decided to call him back because he’s not playing so we’ve got to respect that and we wish him all the best for the future.”
