Port Vale manager Rob Page is expecting a physical test when his side takes on Oldham Athletic.
The Valiants welcome David Dunn’s Latics to Vale Park this evening, kick-off 7.45pm, in the first of three consecutive home matches.
Since Dunn was placed in temporary charge the Boundary Park outfit have drawn 1-1 with both Doncaster Rovers and Wigan Athletic.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, Page said his players need to take the momentum from their second half performance at Fleetwood into the Oldham clash.
“We expect a physical game,” he began. “They work hard for each other but it’s about us being consistent with out level of performances.
“If I’ve got any criticism of the lads it’s that we could be a bit more consistent. We had two completely different halves on Saturday against Fleetwood.
“I thought we were poor first half and I thought we were very good second half so it’s about keeping that momentum rolling now.”
