O’Connor Delighted To Take Part In First Training Session

Port Vale midfielder Michael O’Connor was ecstatic to have participated in training today for the first time since picking up his injury.

O’Connor has been sidelined since pre-season when he damaged his knee during a warm-up fixture against Championship side Bolton Wanderers.


Over the last few weeks he has been working hard with performance coach John Harbin and the club's medical staff to have the best possible chance of returning at peak condition.


Speaking exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD following training, the Northern Irishman said: “It just feels good to get back out there. 


“For the last five, or five-and-a-half weeks, I’ve spent my time boxing, on the bike and swimming so just to get out there around the lads was good.”
