Ryan Lloyd Discusses Appearance From The Bench

Ryan Lloyd admitted he was slightly shocked to get the call to come off the bench at Colchester United but insisted he was ready for action.

The 21-year-old was thrown in inside the first fifteen minutes at Weston Homes Community Stadium after Enoch Andoh was brought off injured.

He provided the cross to assist Colin Daniel’s equaliser just before half time and his overall performance was a positive from a disappointing night in Essex.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD about his introduction to the game so early on, Lloyd said: “I was a little bit shocked.

“But that’s what we’re here to do really, when a teammate gets injured you’re hopefully going to get picked to fill his boots.

“They’re quite big boots to fill at the moment, he’s doing well Enoch. Hopefully he’s not out for a long time.

“That’s what we’re here in the squad for, we’ve got to come on and do a job to help the team hopefully progress.”
