Port Vale striker JJ Hooper hopes he can be the man to fill the boots of suspended teammate Uche Ikpeazu against Shrewsbury Town.

Ikpeazu is suspended for the fixture after being sent off during last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Hooper, who made his Vale league debut against the Brewers, said: “That’s the gaffer’s decision but obviously I can only do what I can do.
“He [Ikpeazu] has got big boots to fill but hopefully I can fill them.”
