Page was part of a number of cup runs during his playing career, including reaching the semi-finals with Sheffield United in 2003.

Although the manager is aware of the shocks that regularly occur in the competition and has urged his players not to be on the wrong end of one.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, he said: “Maidenhead will be coming and I think it’s the first time in four years they’ve made it this far so all credit to them.

“Alan Devonshire the manager has done a terrific job there, we’ve watched the game from last week and they are a threat.

“They’ve got this far in the competition because they thoroughly deserve to be so we’ll respect that.

“Once again we know that if we’re on our game we’ve proven at home we can beat the best in this division.

“It’s about attitude, it’s about approaching the game in the right manner and if we do that we’ll get a positive result.”
