Forward On Swindon Loss And Crawley Games
Port Vale forward Louis Dodds has stressed the importance of getting all three points on Tuesday night after the 1-0 defeat to SwindonTown on Saturday.
The Valiants face Crawley Town at Vale Park before two away games at Sheffield United and Leyton Orient.
Speaking to the press, Dodds said: “Every game is massive now but it’s the next one so it’s the biggest one and the most important and we’ll be looking to get those three points to get back on track.
“It breeds confidence and three points can snowball into six or nine points so hopefully we’ll get a win on Tuesday and that will take us nicely into Sheffield United. “
The 28-year-old added: “I think we’ve just got to apply ourselves and not give teams the start that we have today and in the last couple of games and if keep it at 0-0, we’ll take the three points I think”
When asked about Vale’s chances of finishing in the play-offs, Dodds said it is still an achievable target.
He commented: “I think so, there’s still lots of games left and lots of points to play for. People will slip up and like there is every season someone will sneak up through the pack and take it by surprise so hopefully that will be us, we’ve just got to keep plugging away.”
