Good news for Vale reserves

Vale's title chances very much back on following Wigan's defeat at Walsall

Vale Reserves Title Challenge back on!

After Tuesday's disappointment of the defeat at Morecambe there was better news from Chasetown, not something that has happened too much in recent times. Vale’s rivals, and league leaders, Wigan Athletic Reserves went to play Walsall Reserves in their final fixture needing to win to clinch the title as it would have opened up a seven point gap with Vale having two home fixtures to come.

However they went down to a 3-0 defeat and Vale now need a win and a draw from the two games to clinch the title on goal difference or and winning both would leave them two points clear as Champions of the West Division.

. The West Division table as it stands today is:thVale’s two remaining games are at home to Walsall next Tuesday afternoon and then at home to Shrewsbury on April 15
