Port Vale manager Rob Page is overjoyed with the news Michael O’Connor has agreed to sign a new contract.

The announcement came following the news that Vale had also acquired former Yeovil Town midfielder Sam Foley on a two-year deal.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player, Page expressed his delight at O’Connor’s decision to remain at Vale.
“It’s a great announcement for us to make this afternoon. A real big player for us last season and understandably he got Player of the Season,” he said.
“He was outstanding throughout the course of the season on a consistent basis and it’s fantastic that we’ve got him to commit to the club again.”
