Port Vale are pleased to announce the signing of Sam Foley on a two-year contract.
The 28-year-old, who has spent the past three years at Yeovil Town, sealed his deal at Vale Park on Thursday morning to become the club’s third new signing of the week.
He has also previously played for Cheltenham Town, Kidderminster, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town.
A former Irish youth international, Foley was part of the Glovers side which won promotion to the Sky Bet Championship via the play-offs in 2013.
He made 45 appearances last season, including two against Vale, and scored two goals. The midfielder also started against Manchester United in the FA Cup third round clash at Huish Park.
Manager Rob Page said: “We are delighted to have Sam on board after winning the race to secure his signature.
“He’s an experienced player who is very intelligent in his approach to the game and I’m sure the lads will enjoy lining up alongside him next season.”
