Manager Already Eagerly Anticipating Crewe Opener

Rob Page is already eagerly anticipating Port Vale’s first game of the new season after it was revealed the club would kick off 2015/16 at Crewe Alexandra.

Vale will travel to Gresty Road on Saturday 8th August to take on Steven Davis’ side before hosting Burnley in the Capital One Cup midweek.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player regarding the fixtures, Page said he was looking forward to the mouth-watering clash with the Railwaymen.


“I think it’s a great start to the season for us,” he commented. “To start with a local derby with the anticipation of seeing the new signings throughout the start of the season.


“Everybody looks forward to that first game anyway and I think it’s just added that little bit of extra spice to it with it being a local derby and at Crewe.


“So a really, really great game for us and one we’re looking forward to.”
