Match Preview: Port Vale vs. Bolton Wanderers

Port Vale take on Sky Bet Championship side Bolton Wanderers tonight, kick-off 7.45pm, as they look to continue their unbeaten pre-season.

The Valiants have so far won against Newcastle Town, Alsager Town, Kidsgrove Athletic, Notts County and drawn with La Liga side Getafe.

Manager Rob Page could give defender Ryan Inniss his first run-out in club colours since signing his season-long loan deal on Monday.

The defender has been involved in some games for parent club Crystal Palace over the last few weeks. Chris Neal remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

Summer signing Ajay Leitch-Smith will be looking to continue his scoring form against the Trotters. He has bagged four goals so far in pre-season.

"The physicality of Notts County and the quality of Getafe today so i think if you put them two attributes together then that's what we're going to come up against.

"They're an extremely good team and we'll welcome here and test ourselves against them."

Bolton, meanwhile, have had an inconsistent round of warm-up games. Neil Lennon’s side have lost to Sturm Graz, SC Paderborn and Morecambe, beaten Oldham Athletic and drawn with Scunthorpe United.

Midfielder Darren Pratley is unlikely to feature for the visitors tonight after missing their trip to Glanford Park with a back injury while Emile Heskey, Mark Davies, Oscar Threlkeld and Zach Clough will all be assessed closer to kick-off.

Max Clayton [knee] and David Wheater [hamstring] are also expected to miss out through injury.
