Fans Looking Forward to New Season

Excited season ticket holders have been queuing since the ticket office opened at nine for hugely sort after Crewe Alexandra tickets.

Supporters have flocked in their hundreds over the first few hours of sales with queues snaking through the club shop and onto Hamil Road.

The club has been granted an allocation of 2,250 tickets and with the huge demand expected to continue throughout the afternoon, tickets for the hotly-anticipated clash on August 8th are being snapped up quickly.

Some of the lucky Valiants’ supporters, who were in line to secure their match tickets told port-vale.co.uk about their excitement for the season to start and how good it is to start against Crewe.

Trevor from Talke:

“I get excited any time Vale play, what players we have brought in, the midfield seems to be very strong.

“It’s a season where hopefully we will do something because I think we did very well last season with what we had got.

“Crewe is actually a club that is close to my heart but Vale have to win.”

Andy from Blythe Bridge:

“I’m optimistic. It’s nice to have a local derby, I just hope we can get a result because Crewe are a very good team in this division and we need a result this time.”

Kyle from Etruria:

“I went to Alsager last night - the new lads looked quite good - and Kidsgrove tonight so we will see.

"It is (special) to me because my brother supports them. It will be a bit of a family feud.”

Ivan from High Lane:

"I’m disappointed Tom Pope has left but he is bringing some good players in I think.

"I’ve been a season ticket holder for 45 years now so I am not missing out now."
