Leitch-Smith spent 2014/15 at Yeovil Town and has previously played for local rivals Crewe Alexandra, where he came though the academy.
But Vale’s newest recruit reckons his new manager is the person to get him performing to his peak on the pitch.
“I’ve trained here so I’ve got to know what the lads are like and there is a lot of ability in the team,” he told Valiant PlayerHD in an exclusive interview.
“The gaffer, I believe, can probably get the best out of me and I just can’t wait to get started now.”
