Pope, 29, made his comeback from a knee injury last month, coming on as a substitute against Crewe Alexandra before starting at Oakwell in the loss to Barnsley.

 

The forward is yet to find the back of the net since his return but he doesn’t mind waiting if it means Vale go on a run of positive results.
