Defender Adam Yates felt Port Vale earned a good point in difficult conditions against Scunthorpe United.
The rain battered down and the wind howled at Vale Park throughout the afternoon but it didn’t stop the game from being a decent spectacle.
The Iron took the lead through Jack King but Ajay Leitch-Smith leveled for the Valiants just before half time and neither side could carve out a winner.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD after the match, Yates gave his verdict on the performance.
“It was a good point in difficult conditions,” he said. “There wasn’t a great deal of good football played but I thought we played well in patches.
“We defended particularly well and after a tough week and poor performance last week we’ve at least answered some of the questions.”
