Follow signs for Crewe for 2miles then at the roundabout junction with A534 (s/p Nantwich) turn L into Nantwich Road and over the railway bridge. Gresty Road is the first left after the station.
WHERE TO PARK
There limited street parking but fans are directed to park on the industrial estate in Weston Road. If you are early enough then parking right behind the main stand is available.
THE STADIUM
The Alexandra Stadium, with a capacity of just over 10,000 was redeveloped in the late 90s. It is a compact ground with three small stands. The final one, the Main Stand holds just under 7,000- that is almost three quarters of all seats – and so is totally out of proportion to the rest of the ground. There are no dug outs instead part of the stand is allocated.
The stand to the left of this is the Gresty Road Stand, which holds 982 home fans, whilst the stand opposite, the Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Vans Stand is used for the visiting fans. Finally, the other area behind the goal, sponsored by Wulvern Housing, houses the overspill of visiting fans.
WHERE THEVALIANTS WILL BE SEATED
The Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van Stand, along the side stand accommodates 1,680 visiting fans and although it was only redeveloped in 1995 it feels rather dated. If there is sufficient demand another 682 seats can be made available in the Wulvern Housing Stand.
FOOD
There are many fish and chip shops within easy reach of Alexandra Stadium, but the Gresty Road Chips shop, opposite the ground, is legendary.
DRINK
With the number of pubs around the ground it is a case of take your pick. Along Nantwich Road is the Last Orders, or The Express and Square One on Mill Street. Alternatively visit one of the many out of town pubs passed on the short journey from Burslem.
