Port Vale To Show Support For Know The Score Tonight

Clubs To Wear T-Shirts Backing Campaign

Port Vale and Preston North End will be wearing T-shirts in support of Know the Score during their pre-match warm-ups this evening.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of bowel cancer, which affects one in four people, among those who are otherwise hard to reach.

Know the Score is now in it fifth year and is supported by a number of high profile figures in the game, including former England goalkeeper David Season, West Ham manager Sam Allardyce, Crystal Palace’s Joel Ward and Lianne Sanderson of Arsenal Ladies.

It is also backed by the PFA and League Managers Association.

Chris Taylor, Vale’s Head of Education, said: "Port Vale is keen to support this campaign and will be provided T-shirts for the players to wear when warming up and for mascots and ball boys and girls to advertise this initiative at the Preston game.”
