Defender To Remain At Vale Park Until January
Port Vale can confirm defender Remie Streete has signed a two-month loan extension at the club.
The 20-year-old initially joined the Valiants from Newcastle United last month on a short-term basis and has now put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at Vale Park until 4 January.
As part of the agreement, Streete will be available for selection for this weekend’s FA Cup first round clash with MK Dons.
The centre back made his professional debut in a Vale shirt less than two weeks ago against Leyton Orient – coming on as a half-time substitute and impressing in the 3-0 win.
He followed that up with another exceptional performance at Colchester United on Saturday as Rob Page’s side secured three vital points on the road.
Speaking of the extension to Streete’s loan deal, Vale boss Page said: “I think Remie has shown what he is all about in the couple of games he has had.
"It's pleasing to tie him down until January and like I said he is a great lad, good around the place, gets on with his training."
