Freddie Veseli Enjoying Playing Style Under Rob Page

Defender Speaks After MK Dons Loss

Freddie Veseli admits he enjoys bringing the ball out from defence and is relishing Port Vale’s playing style under Rob Page.

The 22-year-old started for the second game in succession on Saturday and played well but was unable to prevent the Valiants losing 1-0 to MK Dons.

The centre half, who can also play as a full back, was comfortable possession against Karl Robinson’s side and regularly ventured beyond the halfway line to good effect.

Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player following the loss, Veseli was of course disappointed at the result but also took time to discuss his style of play.

“I try and play my game, obviously I grew up in a different country being young,” he said.

“The football isn’t the same as English football; I came to England, I had to adapt, at first it was difficult.

“I have to do both sides of the game and if that’s what we want to do, play from the back and use the ball, then I’m comfortable doing it.”
