Defender looks ahead to Sunday's game against Coventry
Vale defender Adam Yates is predicting another tough game this weekend against Coventry City at the Sixfields Stadium, despite Sunday’s opponents not being in the best of form.
With just two wins in their last twelve outings, the Sky Blues are struggling right now, but Yates believes they have enough quality in their squad to cause vale problems.
He said: “We have got to go there and take out all of the positives from Tuesday night, go there full of confidence and get after them.
“We proved against Leyton Orient than we can play with the teams at the top of this league.
“We have done that all year. We have had poor performances, but we have had a lot of good ones and every team in this league has had poor performances this year.
“Coventry lost at Gillingham on Tuesday night, but the way they have responded to administration and the points deduction this year has been fantastic and they are another club that is doing ever so well.
“I don’t think people give them the credit they deserve, but it is going to be a tough game against Coventry on Sunday.
“I think every game we have got left is going to be tough game and l don’t think we could go through a harder run between now and the end of the season.”
