Port Vale Represented In Kenya By Championship-Winning Side

African Team Win League Wearing Vale Colours

A Kenyan football team that has strong links with Port Vale has won the Kibera Community Championship.

 

Having lost just one game throughout the tournament, young African side Christ Ambassadors JFC finished the season with a massive total of 96 points.

 

A friendship was formed between the clubs when they crossed paths at the Keele International Tournament.

 

Shirts were then donated to the Kenyan outfit by the Vale academy and they have kept in touch ever since.

“We first met their coach at the Keele International Tournament and felt it appropriate to give them some kit.

 

“They still keep in touch with us and it’s great to hear that they have done so well.”


Christ Ambassadors JFC coach Iddi Badi added: "As a coach I am very happy because we have never done this before and the best part was winning the league which runs for nine months.


"We consider Port Vale as our good friends and partners and looking forward to learn more from them because whenever we use the shirts everyone gets scared of us."
